    Icecast Streaming Media Server

    Reviewed on Jul 17, 2023
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Users can use Icecast to create an Internet radio station or stream our media from the user's computer or server and provide access from anywhere over the Internet.
What do you dislike about the product?
Icecast is designed to handle large music collections but it is only optimized for MP3 streaming. Other audio formats sometimes have problems playing their content, which does not favor their use in production environments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Icecast as a means of personal audio and video transmission in a blog as well as an internet radio station for the broadcast of animated audio and video in free media to avoid copyright reporting and I only do this with family and friends.
