ssh as user 'centos' to the running instance and use sudo to run commands requiring root access.
Use "sudo su - root" to switch to root.

To start Tomcat Service: sudo systemctl start tomcat
To get status of Tomcat Service: sudo systemctl status tomcat
To stop Tomcat Service: sudo systemctl stop tomcat
To restart Tomcat Service: sudo systemctl restart tomcat
Tomcat Port : 8080 this is by default not allowed on cloud firewall for security.
Please allow SSH port 22 and Tomcat port 8080 to limited IPs for access.
