Progress Application Server (PAS) for OpenEdge is tailored specifically to support OpenEdge applications, including WebSpeed applications.

Traditionally Progress OpenEdge applications are packaged as Web application archives (WAR files) and are deployed on the Java servlet container of a running PAS for OpenEdge instance. Apache Tomcat is used as the Web server that includes the Java servlet container for hosting Web applications. Client access to PAS for OpenEdge is through HTTP/HTTPS protocols.

This AMI represents a baseline PAS for OpenEdge configuration for use by AWS Quick Start template provided separately by Progress.

With Spring Security Framework included, our innovative application server was designed on the latest standards for secure operation. Availability began with OpenEdge 11.7, this sophisticated technology is the foundation for the OpenEdge Authentication Gateway, ensuring trusted identity management by hardening the overall security of your OpenEdge application environment.

Pricing and entitlements for this product are managed outside of AWS Marketplace through an external billing relationship between you and the vendor. You activate the product by supplying an existing license purchased outside of AWS Marketplace, while AWS provides the infrastructure required to launch the product. Subscriptions have no end date and may be cancelled any time. However, the cancellation won't affect the status of an active license if it was purchased outside of AWS Marketplace.
