This is a repackaged open-source software product wherein additional charges apply for technical support and maintenance by Apps4Rent.
ClamAV is an open source (GPLv2) anti-virus toolkit, designed especially for e-mail scanning on mail gateways. It provides a number of utilities including a flexible and scalable multi-threaded daemon, a command line scanner and advanced tool for automatic database updates. The core of the package is an anti-virus engine available in a form of shared library.

The ClamAV is successfully installed. Follow the steps below to ensure that "ClamAV" installation is successfull.
- Run the following Command to check the status of clamav: sudo systemctl status clamav-daemon
- Run the following Command to check the status of clamav-freshclam: sudo systemctl status clamav-freshclam
- Start and enable clamav-daemon if not started yet: sudo systemctl start clamav-daemon or sudo systemctl enable clamav-daemon
- Start the freshclam daemon with the command: sudo systemctl start clamav-freshclam or sudo systemctl enable clamav-freshclam
- To check the version of clamscan: clamscan -V or clamdtop --version
*Below are the minimum external resources subscriber needs to have to use this product: -An Internet Connection is required in order for this product to function as expected. -We recommend keeping your crucial data in a custom made encrypted EBS in order to save from termination in future.
