    Overview

    Play video

This is a repackaged open source software product wherein a fee is applied for the deployment of the application and AMI support and compliance. Apache Pinot is a real time distributed OLAP datastore designed for ultra low latency analytics at high throughput. It supports direct ingestion from streaming sources like Apache Kafka and Amazon Kinesis, providing immediate query access to events. Pinot also ingests from batch sources such as Hadoop HDFS, Amazon S3, Azure ADLS, and Google Cloud Storage. Its core features include a columnar store and advanced indexing and pre-aggregation techniques, making it ideal for user facing real time analytics, internal dashboards, anomaly detection, and ad-hoc data exploration.

    Highlights

    • User-facing, real-time analytics. Pinot was originally built at LinkedIn to power rich interactive real-time analytics applications.
    • Real time dashboards for business metrics. Pinot can perform typical analytical operations such as slice and dice, drill down, roll up, and pivot on large scale multi dimensional data.
    • Enterprise business intelligence. For analysts and data scientists, Pinot works well as a highly scalable data platform for business intelligence. Pinot converges big data platforms with the traditional role of a data warehouse, making it a suitable replacement for analysis and reporting.
