Overview
This is a repackaged open-source software product wherein additional charges apply for technical support and maintenance by Apps4Rent.
Apache Spark is a unified analytics engine for large-scale data processing. It is an in-memory computational engine, meaning the data will be processed in memory. Spark supports various APIs for streaming, graph processing, SQL, MLLib. It also supports Java, Python, Scala, and R as the preferred languages.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

*For Linux: Connect to your Linux instance via port no. 22 using SSH. Please refer this article: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/AccessingInstancesLinux.html Sign-in credentials: Username: ubuntu
*Follow the steps below to check the installation of Spark (master server): i) You can start a master server by running below command: start-master.sh ii) You can stop a master server by running below command: stop-master.sh iii)To view the Spark Web user interface, open a web browser and enter the public IP address of your EC2 instance on port 8080 i.e.: http://your_public_ip_adress:8080/
NOTE: i) Spark Web user interface will only be seen if the master server is started. Run the above-mentioned command to start the Apache Spark Master server. ii) Add the port 8080 in the security group of your instance. iii)It is recommended to stop the master server and then run the start command for starting it without any errors.
*Below are the minimum external resources subscriber needs to have to use this product: i)An Internet Connection is required in order for this product to function as expected. ii)We recommend keeping your crucial data in a custom made encrypted EBS in order to save from termination in future.
