    Be Patient. The server takes time to boot up and may take several minutes or more. To connect RDP to an EC2 Windows instance, you can try these steps: Create an EC2 instance on AWS Open the Amazon EC2 console and navigate to Security Groups Select AWS-OpsWorks-RDP-Server, then the Inbound tab, and then Edit Select Add Rule and specify the Type as RDP Download and install the RDP client app to your instance list Select your instance and click Connect Click RDP Client, then Download remote desktop file Click Get Password and browse your key pair Click Decrypt Password and copy the decrypted password Double-click the downloaded remote desktop file Paste the password and click Continue If prompted for a username, type Administrator. If you are unable to connect, reboot the instance.
