This is a repackaged open-source software product wherein additional charges apply for support and for providing it in a simple consumable AMI. Apache Cassandra is a highly scalable and distributed database that facilitates storing and managing high-velocity structured data across multiple commodity servers without a single point of failure. Cassandra's offering is packed with components such as Python, Threft, and so on. It is scalable, fault-tolerant, and consistent. It is a column-oriented database. Cassandra accommodates all possible data formats including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured. Fine-tuned the database for production load.
