One of the most efficient Customer Engagement with Robust features

  • September 04, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Chatwoot offers a highly intuitive and user-friendly interface that makes managing customer interactions seamless. The omnichannel support, including integrations with social media, WhatsApp, and email, allows our team to handle customer queries from multiple platforms in one place. We use it mostly for handling Whatsapp interaction with customer and it's flwaless in that.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Chatwoot is feature-rich, there are some areas for improvement. The platform could benefit from more advanced AI-powered automation. Additionally, the reporting features, though useful, could be more customizable to better fit specific business needs. Sometimes there is a slight delay in syncing Whatsapp conversations which impacts the user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We primarily use Chatwoot to manage customer interactions on WhatsApp. It allows our team to efficiently handle inquiries, provide timely responses, and ensure that all communication is tracked and organized within a single platform. The ability to send and receive messages, including attachments, directly within the system has streamlined our customer service operations. It has improved our overall customer experience.

Halfbaked. Not Production ready, after 4-5 months of use review

  • October 08, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
At first Chatwoot seemed like the best solution on the market (after thorough market research) and the 2nd solution is Intercom.
The pricing is superior and there are no nonsense hidden fees.
I also liked the open-source model since our use case requires high customization, and overall, the features is a good match for us and get the job done without too much complicated unnecessary features.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't seem production ready. We stumbled upon bugs and it feels like the Chatwoot execution is just not as reliable enough for us, we are in the business of providing critical services and we can't allow for such "bugs". Overall, our confident of the Chatwoot execution is of a weak execution.
We still like the features and the open source model but for the meantime switch to another solution and keep an eye for the next 1 year to see if things change.

Some bugs we stumbled upon:
1) The Chatwoot portal disconnects. It means we have to keep opening it up every 15 minutes or so, so it stays connected. In the meantime, if we receive a message we won't be notified. The support says it is a known issue but to us, it seems that they are too much time in the market to allow for such a critical bug and it has been for more than 2 months already. We can't allow it.
2) The mobile phone logs off as well, similar to issue 1).
3) We receive duplicate notifications (instead of one notification we receive 2).
4) I really don't like the CEO answers low-level messages on the portal. Focus on the product instead, I think you should delegate.
5) Bugs when setting up the Chatwoot to integrate with Softr. The script to generate the "Expanded chat" doesn't generate the expanded chat. There is one window that generate the code correctly and another one that doesn't generate it correctly. If you are not aware of it, you will find it confusing why your chat is not in an "expanded" chat state.

Overall, the above just killed our confident to rely on Chatwoot as a critical service provider.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Combining support from multiple channels such as WhatsApp, Livechat and Emails.

Our startup has been using Chatwoot for about a year. It has worked very well for our use case. The new features are just added advantages; it was working for us perfectly from the first version itself.

No complaints as such. It solves the problem perfectly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We signed up on Chatwoot when we wanted a live chat customer support solution. We embedded the chat widget on our website, and it has been a smooth ride ever since.

Promising simple live chat tool

  • September 03, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This tool has most of the basic features you would need in a live chat. It's very flexible, so you can use it either on your website or to reply to messages to a Facebook page or Twitter profile. The setup is very easy to accomplish. Also, it has a self-hosted option, which is very hard to find in similar live chat software.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's still lots of room for improvement. The live chat itself could provide more flexibility in terms of automatic responses or some sort of basic chatbots. Visitor details could also be improved (for example, the visitor location). Other than that, it could also include features to make it easier for the user to send a screenshot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Chatwoot is a simple yet effective tool to communicate with visitors and leads from multiple sources, for example the website and social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have someone technical on your team to set this up, then it's a nice simple live chat tool to consider.
