Easy to use and powerful
What do you like best about the product?
I was able to build simple integrations very quickly. Their english like descriptions makes it easy to understand what the recipe does.
For more complex business logic, I found recipes to be expressive enough to describe them. I specifically liked Workato trigger's ability to pick up older events, and not miss events even when a recipe is stopped for changes/fixes. Basically you can stop a recipe, make changes to it, and when you restart Workato will process all events created when recipe was off.
Transaction history is very useful. It gives you details of every step that is executed including the data input/output. You can rerun any failed or successful transaction. Great for debugging and recovery.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the powerful features are not easy to spot. Try/catch, call recipe, array processing are very useful but hard to spot.
For the more complex features, as well as connector actions and triggers, it would be great to have more examples within the doc.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workflows spanning applications used for PM (Google drive/docs), dev (Jira, Slack, etc.), and partner teams. We also use it for notifications to Slack.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Identify use cases, and build them on Workato even before you purchase. This is a great way to experience the product, and also helps you understand the difference between Workato and some of its competitors.

Workflow & Integration Made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
Their commitment to solving their customers needs and going out of their way to ensure successful deployment. Workato has a very robust number of integrations making it easy to start automating workflows between different systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the integrations don't expose the entire service's APIs. The documentation could better in some areas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a very manual onboarding process which we needed to automate. We developed several workflows incorporating Marketo, Salesforce, and Box.

Flexibility and coolness in UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need more flexibility on custom connectors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business Process Integrations both internally and with external customers in the space of QTC.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great Product features and good customer support. The power of custom connectors will give the flexibility to connect any application of cloud. Pricing is good when compared to other biggies like Mulesoft or Tibco. Exposing the tool to Business User just like other cloud systems is the great thing which is much needed in the cloud world.
Proof of Concept with real life use cases
What do you like best about the product?
Workato built out our use cases ready for immediate conversion to production (90% ready for PRD deployment - missing 10% for support processes) as part of the Proof of Concept.
What do you dislike about the product?
None so far. They have been very cooperative.
If Workato can improve its portal for external API Developer's self service portal and API usage monitoring clients would not have use Workato in conjunction with an API Gateway product.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of integration coupled with BPM workflow for exception processing.
Benefits to realize:
1) Integration with Json messages instead of converting Json to XML to perform transformation with existing middleware
2) API orchestration to perform several API calls and trigger workflow when exceptions occurs
3) Pair messages before processing orders.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Integration with exception handling can only be accomplished with BPM workflow. Our Integration hub with Workato is only stronger because of workflow exception processing.
Slack and Github Integration
What do you like best about the product?
It is obvious that a lot of thoughts have been put together to create this product as it was easy for a non-technical person like me to use. I am keen to explore more and maximise the use of this product.

It indeed require some learning at the start but once you get it, it will be really useful.

Ease of use, ability to ramp up quickly, ability to integrate with disparate systems, including some legacy systems.

Lead CRM Architect
What do you like best about the product?
The number of connectors available, and the simplicity / familiarity of the user interface make this a winning combination.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have been using this product for over a year and have not found anything I do not like about the product or the company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrating business process that span multiple Salesforce.com instances.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a killer product! In the hands of your SAAS administrators system integration takes hours not months.
Smooth and their support has been there to help me with my more complex recipes.
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to integrate between various platforms. All you need are credentials and they will automatically authenticate to the respective REST interfaces. Once that's done you can pivot between any other connections you've established. Additionally, they have a thought out RBAC model that allows granularity between users and teams, and connections and recipes.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything we dislike with the product. The company is growingly rapidly, takes customer feedback seriously, and advances based on the feedback quickly. I'm excited for the community to grow so that more and more recipe ideas are out there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrations with platforms that would otherwise not communicate with each other. Although it might be easy to write up a few REST API calls to a provider, it isn't always so easy to troubleshoot errors. Workato's "job error" section makes it super easy to troubleshoot and re-test.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great tool for integrations with any tool with a REST interface. The recipes are pretty straightforward, the support is great, and the rate at which they advance the product is fast.
Awesome integration app

Workato integrates pretty much all the apps out there to our Okta for SSO seamlessly. It removes the hassle to code for each app, and we just create recipes for them.

I haven't found any cons so far. The product is great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
integrating apps to SSO app we use (Okta)
